What Pradiphat Road is like

Pradiphat Road runs west from Phahonyothin just south of the station, and it is the food spine of Saphan Kwai. The density of small restaurants, noodle shops and street stalls along it and in the sois running off it is the highest anywhere inside our boundary, and it is overwhelmingly local trade rather than visitor trade.

The character changes as you walk west. The first stretch near Phahonyothin is busy and commercial; further along it quietens into a residential street where the food is cheaper, the shopfronts are smaller and the opening hours are shorter and more idiosyncratic. Many of the best-rated places on this page are in that second stretch.

This is also where our data is weakest in an interesting way. Street stalls and unregistered vendors are badly under-represented in any map-based business dataset, and Pradiphat has a lot of them. Treat the list below as a floor on what is here, not a census.
