Saphan Kwai (สะพานควาย), Bangkok: seven pockets inside 1.2 km of the station, and what each one is actually for.
As of 2 August 2026, our dataset holds 529 places within 1.2 km of BTS Saphan Khwai, split across seven sub-areas assigned by geometry and checked against address data. Chatuchak Market is much the largest at 208; Station core is the most concentrated, with a median place just 154 m from the station. South fringe carries the highest mean rating, 4.56 across its 38 well-rated places.

"Saphan Kwai" covers an area that is not the same all the way through. The station core is a transport corridor; four hundred metres west, Pradiphat Road is a dense local food street; the north end of our boundary is really the Chatuchak market's hinterland and behaves like a weekend destination. Treating those as one place would make every recommendation worse.
No administrative unit fits, either. Inside 750 m of the station the split between postcode 10400, in Phaya Thai district, and 10900, in Chatuchak district, is roughly 52/48. The neighbourhood straddles a district border, which is exactly why we draw our own boundary geometrically from the station and say so.

How sub-areas are assigned.
Every place is assigned by its coordinates relative to the station, then checked against street and district tokens in its address. The lines are ours, they are drawn from the data rather than from any official boundary, and a business near an edge could reasonably be filed either side of it. Counts are of our dataset, not of the neighbourhood; our methodology page sets out what the data misses.
