Map of Saphan Kwai
Saphan Kwai (สะพานควาย), Bangkok: every place in our dataset, plotted where it actually is.
All 529 publishable places within 1.2 km of BTS Saphan Khwai station, positioned by their real coordinates as of 2 August 2026. 373 of them sit inside the 800 m core marked by the inner ring. This is a plot of our data, not a street map: there are no roads on it, because road geometry is not something we hold.
What this map is
Each dot is one business, placed by the coordinates in our source data. The rings are ours: 800 m is the walkable core, 1,200 m is where the density of places collapses to roughly the Bangkok baseline, which is how we decided where Saphan Kwai stops. Both are straight-line radii from the station, not walking distances.
The shape you can see in the dots is real and worth reading. The dense band running north from the centre is the Chatuchak and Or Tor Kor market end; the cluster to the west along the same axis is Pradiphat Road; the thinning to the east is where the railway cuts the neighbourhood. Empty space on this map is usually a railway, an expressway or a large plot, not a gap in our coverage.
It is not a street map and does not attempt to be one. If you want to navigate, use a mapping app; if you want to understand how this neighbourhood is arranged and what falls inside a defensible definition of it, this is the picture.

Accuracy.
Coordinates come from our source data and are as good as that data is: a few will be a building or two out, and a handful of market stalls share a pin with the market itself. Places our source never recorded are, of course, not here at all. What our dataset covers and misses is set out in full on the methodology page.
